The Hero Tribute is a sponsorship. Space Beyond, working through veteran organization partners, identifies a deserving service member whose family would not otherwise have access to a tribute like this. You fund their final mission to space.

One sponsor. One veteran. One final mission.

The Final Mission

A symbolic portion of the veteran’s cremated remains is integrated and sealed into the Remembrance spacecraft. In October 2027, it launches into sun-synchronous Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The spacecraft circles the Earth for approximately five years.

Their name is engraved on the exterior of the spacecraft. A permanent record, in orbit.

This is not a farewell. It is mission complete. One final launch.

Your message

At checkout, you can write a message to their family. Space Beyond delivers it on your behalf.

You do not need to know them to say something that matters. Something about why you chose to do this. There is no right length. Only what feels true.

You will receive updates about your hero — launch confirmation, orbital status, mission milestones — throughout the orbital journey.

A few things worth knowing:

Will I know which veteran I’m sponsoring? The veteran’s identity stays private to protect their family, and your identity stays private to them. You will receive updates about your hero’s journey throughout the mission, but not personal details. The honor is unconditional. That is fitting.

How is the veteran chosen? Space Beyond works with veteran organization partners to identify deserving service members whose families would not otherwise have access to a tribute like this. We handle the coordination. You make it possible.
