At its heart, sending someone to space with us leads to the same place: a symbolic portion of ashes, launched into Earth orbit, and everything that comes with it. We call that the Ashtronaut™ Program.
The same experience, given as a gift, sponsored for a veteran who’s earned it.
Three doors. One program behind all of them.
What you receive as part of the Program.
A collection kit, delivered to your door, with everything needed to prepare a small symbolic portion of ashes. About a gram. The rest stays with you.
Integration and sealing aboard Remembrance, our dedicated memorial spacecraft.
A confirmed place for your Ashtronaut on a real SpaceX Falcon 9 mission, launching October 2027.
Mission updates as the launch date approaches, so you’re never wondering what’s next.
Orbital tracking, so you, your family, and your friends can follow the journey, wherever they are.
An Ashtronaut Tribute Page, a permanent place online where their story lives, written the way you want it told.
An official mission patch and a printable certificate.
A few common questions.
Is the Ashtronaut Program something I buy separately?
No. It’s what happens automatically inside Ashes to Space, Reserve Your Legacy, and Hero Tribute. There’s nothing extra to add.
I sponsored a Hero Tribute. What do I receive?
The veteran receives the full Ashtronaut Program above. You receive mission updates, tracking access, a thank-you letter, and recognition on our Wall of Sponsors, so you can follow the journey you made possible.
Does the Remembrance Roster include the Ashtronaut Program?
The Remembrance Roster is a different path, for families without ashes to send, a name engraved on the spacecraft itself, starting at $149. It includes mission updates and orbital tracking, the same way the Ashtronaut Program does, but it isn’t the Ashtronaut Program itself.
