You don’t need ashes to send someone to space.
Just their name.
The Remembrance Roster carries your inscription — physically engraved onto the exterior of a real spacecraft — into Earth orbit aboard SpaceX Falcon 9. Orbiting the Earth for approximately five years, completing thousands of orbits and traveling millions of miles before naturally reentering the atmosphere.
The final moment anyone will see of it is a streak of light across the night sky.
Who the Remembrance Roster is for:
For the families whose loved one was buried, and have no ashes to send.
For the Ashes to Space families who want to bring everyone into orbit — not just the Ashtronaut.
For the person who wants to celebrate someone still alive — a parent, a partner, a child — with something genuinely extraordinary.
For the gift that has never existed before.
For anyone whose name deserves to orbit the Earth.
What this is:
Every name in the Remembrance Roster is physically engraved onto the exterior of the spacecraft itself. Not stored in a database. Not archived on a microchip. Engraved. In metal. On a spacecraft that will travel millions of miles through orbit.
Human-readable. Permanent. Actually launched.
Each inscription is also included in the public Remembrance Roster archive — a permanent, searchable record of every name carried aboard each Space Beyond mission.
Choose your participation level:
Individual Inscription — $149 A name in orbit. For when a name alone says everything it needs to say.
Tribute Inscription — $279 A name and the words that belong with it. Expanded engraving space, a tribute phrase, an enhanced certificate, and a dedicated online tribute page. For when a name alone doesn’t say enough.
Legacy Collection — $499 For the families who belong in orbit together. Multiple names, a group inscription, a premium certificate, and a premium online tribute page. For the couples who went everywhere together. The families that never did anything separately.
How it works:
Reserve your place and submit your inscription — a name, a tribute, a dedication. Each inscription is reviewed before production to confirm accuracy. As launch approaches, your name is engraved onto the Remembrance spacecraft exterior. In October 2027, it launches into Earth orbit aboard SpaceX Falcon 9 and begins its journey.
What’s included:
- Physical name inscription on the exterior of the Remembrance spacecraft
- Mission updates, launch notifications, and orbital tracking
- Inclusion in the public Remembrance Roster archive
- Certificate of inclusion (enhanced or premium depending on tier)
- Dedicated online tribute page (Tribute and Legacy tiers)
A few things worth knowing:
Do I need cremated remains? No. The Remembrance Roster doesn’t require ashes. If you have ashes to send, visit our Ashes to Space page. If you don’t, you are in exactly the right place.
Is the engraving actually physical? Yes. Physically engraved onto the spacecraft exterior, human-readable without magnification. Not a database. Not a microchip. Engraved.
Can I honor someone who is still alive? Yes. Many participants celebrate milestone birthdays, anniversaries, achievements, and lifelong dreams. A name in orbit is one of the most extraordinary things a living person can receive.
What if I’m also doing Ashes to Space? The Remembrance Roster is a natural companion. Bring the whole family — Ashtronaut and all.
Will the spacecraft really go to space? Yes. SpaceX Falcon 9. Arrow Science & Technology as our launch integration partner. Confirmed October 2027 launch. Covered by TechCrunch, CBS News, and SpaceNews.
Is inscription space limited? Yes. Each mission has finite physical engraving capacity. Once the mission reaches capacity, enrollment for that flight closes.
Their name deserves to be up there.
Send their name to orbit.
