At Space Beyond, we’ve structured every step of our process to be straightforward, respectful, and reassuring. Once you decide to move forward, we’ll send you a kit to collect a symbolic portion of your loved one’s ashes, guide you through returning it, and handle everything from there — all with transparency, dignity, and care.

You’ll also receive updates at key moments, so you always know what’s happening and what to expect next.

Here’s how the journey unfolds:

1. Begin the Journey

Once you complete your order, we send a Celestial Tribute Collection Kit to the location you choose — either directly to you or to your funeral service provider.

2. Prepare the Celestial Tribute

The Collection Kit includes clear, step-by-step instructions and everything needed to prepare a small, symbolic portion of your loved one’s cremated remains.
Simply fill the vial and return it using the included, prepaid return label.

We hold the cremains in secure storage until it is time to integrate them on the spacecraft.

3. Safely Received & Cared For

We notify you as soon as the Celestial Tribute is received.
Each tribute is individually tracked and held in a secure, designated location until it is ready to be integrated into the spacecraft.

The next step on getting ashes sent to space is to integrate them with the spacecraft.

4. Prepared for Flight

As launch day approaches, the Celestial Tributes are respectfully integrated into the spacecraft under the guidance of a licensed funeral director.
You’ll receive a progress update with details about the upcoming launch and mission.

We assure that the spacecraft is fully compliant with all applicable regulations so you can enjoy years of remembering the deceased and honoring memories.

5. Tested & Certified

The spacecraft is then processed through all required testing and certified for launch and orbital flight in accordance with launch provider requirements and applicable regulations.

6. Ready For Launch

The spacecraft is integrated onto the launch vehicle and prepared for flight by the mission integration team.
We’ll share updates and the projected launch window as it is finalized.

7. Launch Day

On launch day, we provide guidance on how to watch — whether in person or virtually — as your loved one begins their journey to space.

Once safely on orbit, our spacecraft is released and your loved ones rest in peace for up to 25 years of perfect stillness, silence, and peace.

8. Confirmed in Orbit

After deployment, you’ll receive an official Certificate of Launch along with details of the achieved orbit.
