Space Beyond Prepares for “Ashes to Space” Liftoff 
On August 19 Kickstarter Launch

Today, the company announced that its Kickstarter campaign will launch on August 19, aiming to rally 600 supporters to fund its inaugural mission. Ashes to Space missions will carry symbolic portions of cremated remains into Earth orbit aboard a commercial rocket, where the satellite will circle the planet for up to 25 years before reentering the atmosphere naturally. Families will receive a digital mission certificate and access to a smartphone app to track their loved one’s orbital path in real time—connecting memory with motion across the stars.

In addition to personal tributes, Space Beyond has launched two major new initiatives:

– Hero Tributes – Allows sponsors to fund space memorials for U.S. Armed Forces veterans at no cost to their families. Honoring service and sacrifice, Hero Tributes offer a meaningful, lasting salute in space.

– Pre-Planning – Families and individuals can now reserve their Ashes to Space memorial in advance, securing peace of mind and ensuring their final wishes include a journey beyond Earth.
